Share document with a Customer

If the document is already in your Bill.com Inbox:

In your Bill.com account, click Inbox
Locate the document in question, and select Customer from the "Document for" drop-down menu.
Select which Customer you'd like to attach the document to review and/or enter a new Doc Name. You can also add a description, and/or put it in a Folder.
Check the "Share with customer" box
Click Save - the document will now be available for your Customer to view and download in the Customer Portal.

If the document is not already in your Inbox:

Upload the document to your Inbox and follow the steps above, or you can bypass the Inbox by following these steps:

Click Receivables Customers, then click the Customer's name
On the Customer Summary page, click "Attach a Document" in the Documents section, towards the bottom of the page.
Click "Choose File" to upload a file directly from your computer, and give it a name. You can also add a description and/or put it in a folder.
Check the "Share this document?" box
Click "Add Document"

If you have already attached a document to a Customer but have not shared it:

Click Receivables Customers, then click the Customer's name
On the Customer Summary page, scroll down to the Documents section.
Locate the document, and click [change] next to where it says "Share with Customer: No"


Please note: A document can only be shared with one Customer. If you have a document that needs to bshared with multiple Customers, it will need to be uploaded to the Inbox separately for each Customer.
