Multi-Factor Authentication: Change your phone number, or add a backup number

In case you ever lose access to your Primary phone number, we highly recommend establishing a backup.

Add a backup phone number

  1. Hover over the gear icon, then click Settings
  2. On the Settings page, under You, click Profile
  3. Hover over Details, and click Security
  4. On the Security page, click Add Backup Phone
  5. Click Next, and then follow the steps to establish your backup phone

Change the Primary Phone number

  1. Hover over the gear icon, then click Settings
  2. On the Settings page, under You, click Profile
  3. Hover over Details, and click Security
  4. On the Security page, click Change Primary Phone
  5. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete your Primary Phone and add a new one. If you'd like to proceed, click Yes.
  6. To confirm, we will send a Security Code to your existing Primary Phone number. Enter the Security Code, and then follow the steps to set up your new Primary Phone number.

If you no longer have access to your original Primary phone number, and you have already established a Backup phone number, click Use Backup Phone.

If you no longer have access to your Primary phone number, and you have not established a Backup number, contact Customer Support. For security reasons, you will need to provide documentation to verify your identity before the Primary Number can be reset.
