Changing the billable status of line items

OVERVIEW

To change the billable status of a line item:

  1. Select the customer for the line item
  2. Once the customer is selected, click on the dropdown menu next to the customer to display the Billable? checkbox
  3. If this box is checked, the line item is billable to the customer. If it is unchecked, the line item is non-billable

 TIP

  • If the Customer: Job field is not showing on the create bill page,  "Use Customers / Jobs in Payables" may not be enabled. To enable it, hover over the gear icon and navigate to Settings > Overview > Accounting Preferences. Then click Edit, change "Use Customers / Jobs in Payables" to Yes, and click Save.
