If you sync with QuickBooks for Windows, QuickBooks Online, Intacct, or NetSuite, we will post payments as a debit journal entry to your Accounts Payable account, and a credit journal entry to the Payment Account listed on the Bill Payment Information screen for a payment.
For Bill.com Payments, the Payment Account is what is listed in the Bill.com Money Out Clearing Account field located in your Sync Preferences. Once you have scheduled a payment, the Payment Account associated with the payment can not be edited in Bill.com. If the payment has not yet processed, you can select it, and then click Cancel. You can then update the Bill.com Money Out Clearing account in your Sync Preferences (the Bill.com Money Out Clearing accout allows us to reconcile your payments and is required for the Bill.com sync entries to work properly in your accounting software), and then schedule a new payment on the page where you pay bills. If the Payment has processed, then once the payment syncs, you can do a manual Journal Entry in your Accounting Software.
For Bill.com Offline Payments, you can change the Payment Account on the Bill Payment Information screen by clicking the notepad icon to edit.
