If you have a large number of documents in the inbox and want to process them without having to reload the inbox constantly, you can open each document or batch in a separate window by using 1 of the 2 options:

Press and hold the Ctrl key when clicking on the document or the link This will open up the object in a new window or tab
Right click on the new or existing link and choose "Open link in new tab" or "Open link in new window".
