Multi-Factor Authentication and international phone numbers

MFA supports SMS (text) notifications to all US and international cell phone numbers; voice notifications are only available to cell phone numbers from the US and Canada.

Be sure to include "+" followed by your country code when entering your phone number so that it will be accepted.

Ex: a phone number from England would be formatted like this:

Things to know

  • It is best practice to not share numbers or use another person’s phone number for MFA
  • Enter your phone number with no spaces.
  • Submitting the phone number multiple times will inactivate previous codes. If you keep receiving 'expired' messages, then the latest code has not been sent to your phone.
  • There are some limitations to sending SMS messages to mobile devices in India. For more information: Limitations sending SMS messages to Indian mobile devices

Note: Please contact our Customer Support department if you are not receiving your MFA code. For security purposes, this feature can not be disabled. Our Support team is committed to helping you resolve any issues.
