The contact name is already assigned to another contact. The contact name must be unique across all active contacts.
This error occurs when a customer or vendor is attempting to sync to Xero from Bill.com, but Xero already has a contact with the same name, either inactive or active. This can also happen if a contact that is already in Xero is manually created in Bill.com, instead of allowed to sync over to Bill.com from Xero.
- Make sure all Vendors and Customers in Bill.com have unique names when syncing to Xero.
- If a contact exists in Xero but is not syncing to Bill.com, do not create the contact in Bill.com manually or this error will occur. Please contact Customer Support for assistance in getting the contact in Xero to sync over to Bill.com.
- Contact Customer Support to see if a merge may be required if there are duplicates in Bill.com and/or Xero.
