Bill.com makes only one Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) debit per day to your bank account;This debit is comprised of multiple bill payments;Using the information in the Bill.com Funds Transfer Detail Report, you'll need to post a transaction in Thomson Reuters (Write-up CS or CBS depending on which system you integrate Bill.com with) for the gross amount of all payments made on a particular date.
To post a transaction in Thomson Reuters:
Open the screen in your Thomson Reuters where you normally record journal entries.
Using the Process Date (i.e., the withdrawal date) of the Bill.com payments as show in the Funds Transfer Detail Report in Bill.com, transfer funds from your checking account to the Bill.com clearing account;
Enter a descriptive memo, such as Bill.com Scheduled Payments.
By recording this funds transfer, you effectively "zero out" the transaction in the Bill.com Clearing account in Thomson Reuters Write-up CS or CBS;This approach allows for easier bank reconciliation, as all transactions in your check register match your bank statement;It also displays post-dated transactions, which improves cash flow management, and enables you to easily see how the bill was paid when you view a bill payment transaction via the account to which it was posted.
