Determining a payment's process date


Process date is determined based on the due date of the bill and the Company preference for Lead Time set within your Payables Preferences area.

By default, we suggest a Process Date of six business days before the Due Date. This Lead Time value field can be managed within the Payables Preferences, as well as within each Vendors' record. In addition, the process date of any bill may be edited at the time you're scheduling a payment from the Pay page.


  1. In the upper right corner of the page, mouse over the Gear icon then click Settings
  2. Beneath Payables, click Preferences
  3. In the Lead Time field area, enter in the general preference. This field refers to the number of days before a bill is due that that payments should be scheduled to go out. We recommend at least six days prior to the bill's due date, to allow for mail and processing time.
  4. Click Save


Set a different value for specific vendors by clicking the "More vendor details" link found below the boxed area on the main Vendor Details record page, if there are vendors that require a more particular lead time.
