Email notifications are sent when an account is accessed from a computer or browser not previously identified with the user.
An email notification for new sign-in will be sent for the following conditions:
- Signing in for the first time from a different device or browser than previously used since the security update on 8/18/17
- Bill.com sign-in credentials are shared, colleague is signing in from their computer
- Signing in using a browser’s incognito/private browsing mode
- Signing in after clearing the browser’s cookies
- Hubdoc is used to send documents to Bill.com. The first time Hubdoc syncs to Bill.com after the new feature is enabled will register as a new login to Bill.com.
This feature will be released in phases over several months.

Tips and things to know
- Do not share sign-in credentials with others
- Security update deployed 8/18/17, saving of device information starts
- First sign-in on a device after update is saved and no email will be triggered
- No devices have been saved prior to 8/18/17, therefore an email will be triggered even if a device has been used previously to sign-in prior to the update.
