Xero Sync Error: Payment (bank) account is required for payments


Payment (bank) account is required for payments



This error occurs when a payment is trying to sync to Xero from, but the Default Bank Account or Deposit To setting in sync preferences is blank or set to an inactive account.



Update the sync preferences in

  1. Hover over Gear Icon Gear.PNG and click Settings
  2. Click Preferences under the Sync section
  3. Click the Edit Icon Edit.PNG
  4. Select a bank account for the Default Bank Account and Deposit To
  5. Click Save
  6. Sync again
