Payment amount exceeds the amount outstanding on this document

 

Explanation

This error occurs when an payment on a bill or invoice is trying to sync to Xero but a payment has already been applied to the bill or invoice in Xero 

 

Solution

Remove the payment from the bill or invoice in Xero and sync. If the error does not clear, or the payment does not need to sync, contact Customer Support.
